Fremont residents can drop off the following items free:

  • Electronic waste: computers, computer equipment, TVs, stereos, microwave ovens, VCR and DVD players, answering machines, and similar items. Limit of 8 items, twice a year. $10 fee for each item over the limit.
  • Cell phones (no limit)
  • Household batteries (no limit). For car batteries, see household hazardous waste.
  • Fluorescent bulbs and tubes (residential quantities)
  • Cooking oil and grease
  • Holiday trees (January only - no tinsel or ornaments)

You can also:

  • Pick up motor oil jugs and filter bags for do-it-yourself oil changes. Leave next to your carts on your regular service day for curbside pickup.
  • Pay your Allied Waste bill
  • Sign up for automatic bill payment
  • Purchase bags for extra garbage
  • Place an order for a debris box
  • Get a kitchen pail replacement
  • Handle other customer service transactions

Unfortunately, we can't take household hazardous waste (pesticides, paints, chemicals, car batteries, medical prescriptions, etc.).
